 Complex to Simple Sentence

 

যদি Since / As / When দিয়ে শুরু হওয়া Complex Sentence-এর Subordinate Clause এবং Principal Clause-এর Subject ভিন্ন হয়, তাহলে Complex Sentence কে Simple Sentence-এ রূপান্তর করা যায়।

নিয়মাবলি:

(a) Subordinate Clause-এর মধ্যে Since / As / When থাকলে তা বাদ দিতে হবে।
(b) Subordinate Clause-এর Subject অপরিবর্তিত রাখা হবে।
(c) Verb রূপান্তর:
 • সাধারণ verb → verb + ing (Present Participle)
 • am / is / are / was / were → being
 • have / has / had → having
(d) Subordinate Clause-এর ক্রিয়া (verb) participle রূপে পরিবর্তনের পরে বাক্যে বসানো যাবে।
(e) যদি Subordinate Clause বাক্যের শুরুতে থাকে → Subordinate Clause-এর পরে comma (,) ব্যবহার করতে হবে।
(f) Principal Clause অপরিবর্তিত রাখা হবে বা প্রয়োজনে সামান্য rephrase করা যাবে মূল অর্থ রক্ষা করে।

নিচে পুরো উদাহরণগুলো বাংলায় হুবহু অনুবাদসহ দেওয়া হলো:

As the day was stormy, many people could not go to market.	The day being stormy, many people could not go to market.	যেহেতু দিনটি ঝড়ো ছিল, অনেক মানুষ বাজারে যেতে পারেনি।	দিনটি ঝড়ো হওয়ায়, অনেক মানুষ বাজারে যেতে পারেনি।
Since the weather was very rough, we did not go to play.	The weather being rough, we did not go to play.	যেহেতু আবহাওয়া খুব খারাপ ছিল, আমরা খেলতে যাইনি।	আবহাওয়া খারাপ হওয়ায়, আমরা খেলতে যাইনি।
When the meeting was over, they returned home.	The meeting being over, they returned home.	যেহেতু সভা শেষ হয়েছে, তারা বাড়ি ফিরল।	সভা শেষ হওয়ায়, তারা বাড়ি ফিরল।
When the lunch was over, the lady went away.	The lunch being over, the lady went away.	যেহেতু লাঞ্চ শেষ হয়েছে, মহিলা চলে গেলেন।	লাঞ্চ শেষ হওয়ায়, মহিলা চলে গেলেন।
Since Yusuf is a good student, all love him.	Yusuf being a good student, all love him.	যেহেতু ইউসুফ একজন ভাল ছাত্র, সবাই তাকে ভালোবাসে।	ইউসুফ একজন ভাল ছাত্র হওয়ায়, সবাই তাকে ভালোবাসে।
Since the weather was very cold, there were no birds or animals in that snow covered country.	The weather being very cold, there were no birds or animals in that snow covered country.	যেহেতু আবহাওয়া খুব ঠান্ডা ছিল, সেই তুষারঢাকা দেশে কোনো পাখি বা প্রাণী ছিল না।
