A rainy day is a very wet and nice day. Dark clouds cover the sky all day long. The sun hides behind the clouds, and there is no sunshine. Sometimes it rains softly, and sometimes it rains very hard. Cool winds blow and make the weather very pleasant. Roads become muddy and slippery because of the water. Puddles of water form on streets and open fields. Schools and offices stay closed or have very few people. Many people like to stay inside their homes for comfort. Day laborers face trouble going out to earn their daily money. Children feel very happy because they get a holiday. They love to watch the falling rain from their windows. Children make paper boats and float them in the water. People wrap themselves in warm blankets and rest. Poor people suffer a lot when their houses get flooded. Water blocks the roads in towns and cities. Traffic stops completely due to deep water on streets. Nature seems to take a deep rest on this day. The evening comes early as the sky looks dark. A rainy day brings a break from the hot weather.
